I am registered with your online auction companies. Do I still need to register at the auction site?
Yes, our online auction companies use a different data base than our live division. You need to register for each auction, whether on site or through Proxibid.
I bought through Proxibid. What do I need to do to arrange to pay for my items?
If you plan to go to the auction site to pick up your items you can pay there. You can also pay with credit card over the phone or by wire transfer through our main office. Please call: 1-800-527-8243.
I have made purchases at your auction previously? Must I still register?
Yes, you need to register for each auction.
What does as is, where is mean.
“As is” means that the auction company makes no guarantees or warranties of any type as to the condition of the items on the auction. It is the buyer’s responsibility to inspect the item and make his own judgment on the condition of the item. “Where is” means that it is up to the buyer to remove the item from the auction site or make arrangements to do so. Miedema Auctioneering, Inc. does not provide shipping services but we do have a list of riggers and haulers we can provide to the buyer.
What is a buyer's premium?
A Buyer's Premium is a transaction fee added to the high bid, to be paid by the buyer as part of the Auctioneer's compensations. The Buyer's Premium is also explained in the site and auction terms of each individual auction. Please be aware that per Michigan law, the buyer's premium is considered to be part of the purchase price and is subject to sales tax. We waive 3% of the buyer's premium if payment is made with cash, cashier's check, wire transfer, or guaranteed check.
What is a Proxy Bid/Absentee Bid?
If a potential buyer is not able to attend the auction, he can still place a bid on an item by either contacting our office or speaking to one of our staff at the auction site. Our staff will then place bids on the item for him, up to the agreed upon amount.
